New Orleans.. Real Estate Boomtown?!

From the people at "The Real Estate Bloggers," we find a story about how real estate in New Orleans is rapidly changing hands.  A bit odd you say?  Apparently this isn't a new phenomenon... it happens almost every time after a natural disaster.  Realtors describe it as "Watching a football game and having the play book in your hands.”

Houston... Bubble Safe Haven?

While the bubble was steadily growing throughout parts of the country, many Houstanites lamented as their homes crept up slowly.  According to this article in the Houston Chronicle, things may be on an upswing.  Real estate agents, economists and analysts attribute the improved market to strong job growth thanks to the climb in oil prices that has driven the rapid expansion of local energy companies.  The high end of the segment, for one, is extremely hot.  Home prices, on average, are hovering around $70 a square foot,  which for many of you will seem like a bargain.
